The Job
Mustang has been one of the fastest-growing towns in the metro for years now, with new subdivisions filling in old farmland practically every season. A lot of the families who bought in early are now five or ten years into raising kids here, and the playsets that went up right after move-in are starting to show their age — faded plastic roof panels, wobbly ladder rungs, swing chains rusted at the connection points. We take these down completely and clear the yard.
Because so much of Mustang's housing stock is relatively new, we see a mix of situations that older towns don't have as much of: families upgrading from a starter playset to something bigger as the kids got older, or clearing out a smaller unit entirely because a pool or outdoor living space is going in instead. Either way, the lots in these newer developments tend to be a specific standard size, which actually makes planning the teardown pretty predictable once we see a few photos.
We also get calls from Mustang families buying into slightly older pockets of town near the original downtown core, where a playset might be older and built from different materials than what you'd find in the newer subdivisions out by the highway. Age and construction style don't change much about how we approach the job — full disassembly, careful handling, complete haul-off.
Mustang's growth has meant a steady stream of young families moving in over the past decade, and plenty of those households are now at the stage where the original playset they installed shortly after moving in just doesn't fit anymore. Kids who were toddlers when the swing set went up are now riding bikes around the neighborhood instead, and the structure sitting unused in the corner of the yard has become more of a chore to maintain than anything else.
Because the housing stock here skews newer than a lot of the metro, we also deal with a fair number of composite and modern playset builds that use different fastener types than the classic wooden kits from decades past. Our crew carries tools for both, so whether your playset came from a big box store a few years ago or was inherited from a build that's been standing since before Mustang's growth boom really took off, we're ready for it either way.
If you're clearing space for a pool, an outdoor kitchen, or just want the yard open for the next phase of family life, we can usually get out quickly given Mustang's growing population and our regular routes through the area. Contact us for a free quote. Call or text 405-566-9730.
How It Works
Text 405-566-9730 a few pictures of the playset and the surrounding fence line or patio. Newer Mustang subdivisions tend to have fairly standard backyard layouts, which helps us quote accurately before we ever arrive.
We bring drills, saws, and pry bars suited to whatever hardware the structure used, whether it's a newer composite kit or an older wooden build from a part of town that's been developed longer.
Roof panel and canopy first, then swing beams and slide, then the main support posts, cutting larger pieces apart where needed to get them out through gates or narrow side yards common in newer developments.
Buried footings get dug out rather than cut off at grade, mulch borders removed if you want them gone, and the area raked level so it's ready for whatever's next — sod, a patio, or just open yard.
Why Anthony's
A lot of Mustang's subdivisions share similar backyard footprints and gate widths, and we've worked enough of them to plan disassembly and haul-out routes efficiently before we even arrive.
Newer playsets use different hardware than the wooden kits from older parts of town, and our crew carries tools for both rather than guessing what we'll find on site.
We're regularly in and around Mustang given how much the town has grown, which usually means we can fit your removal in sooner rather than making you wait on a special trip.
Questions
Absolutely, age doesn't matter for this kind of job — we remove playsets whether they're brand new and barely used or decades old and falling apart. A lot of Mustang calls come from families who are mid-renovation, clearing out a perfectly functional playset to make room for a pool, patio, or outdoor kitchen. We can often time the removal to fit right into your contractor's schedule if you give us a target date.
Sometimes, yes. Several of Mustang's newer developments have tighter side-yard gate widths than older neighborhoods, which affects how we size the pieces we cut the playset into during teardown. We account for this when quoting, and it's genuinely helpful if you send photos of the gate and access path along with the playset itself so we can plan the right approach.
Yes, we work on structures of any age, including older wooden kits that may have been standing well before Mustang's recent growth boom. These older builds sometimes use fastener types that aren't common anymore, so our crew carries a wide range of bits and tools to handle whatever hardware shows up once we start the teardown.
Yes, if you'd like that included. Many Mustang playsets sit on a bed of mulch or chips with a plastic border holding it in place, and we're happy to clear that out during the same visit so you're left with open ground rather than a leftover mulch pit once the structure is gone. Just mention it when you send photos.
Given how often we're already working in and around Mustang due to the town's growth, we can usually schedule a playground removal within a day or two of your call, sometimes the same day depending on our route. Text photos as early as you can so we can give you a realistic window.
